Ms. Kissous-Hunt is also a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, NYC Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer, and is the President of Gastroenterology Physician Assistants (GIPA).

Ms. Kissous-Hunt is a board-certified Physician Assistant and has been treating patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases in the Gastroenterology group of Drs. Kornbluth, George & Legnani for over 20 years. This group has particular expertise in treating patients with complex Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

She performs an important role in patient communication and education, she is a sub-investigator on multiple clinical research trials, is the coauthor of a number of research manuscripts and abstracts, and has been lecturing on this topic nationally. In addition, as an adjunct faculty member of Touro College of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Program in New York, she teaches the Gastroenterology Course as well as conducting their Gastroenterology Board Reviews and clinical student lectures.
